Hostel life its advantages and disadvantages

Introduction: Life in a hostel has its advantages as well as disadvantages. It is a boon but, sometimes, it becomes a curse too.

Cheerful Environment: Too many lives in a college hostel comes as a joy so many young men living together in friendship and freedom have a tremendous influence on the mind of Colligion. the friendship which would last a lifetime are made here one forgets the petty cares and anxieties of one's private life in the healthy and cheerful environment which a hostel provides.


Feeling of Quality:A spirit of Give and take develops there. one cannot be a selfish brute when one lives, eats and moves in the company of so many young fellows. If you are rich you cannot show it by a display of costly dress or by treating your neighbours as inferiors.

Human Qualities: Human qualities also developed in a hostel. One Learns to be more charitable towards others. when a friend Falls sick one learn to nurse him and administrator to his Comforts. Thus, even one's Outlook and attitude is changed.
It's Dark Side: The hostel life has its Dark Side too.The hostler often become extravagant The waste money on friends, entertainment and movies. They try to maintain a force Prestige among them. They give themselves to all sorts of viruses such as smoking, drinking and taking intoxicants they have love for political rivalries often leading to that they forget their mission and go astray. Parents hopes and dreams are shattered.


Conclusion:But,on the whole life in a college hostel does more to improve student than to injure him.
